12° [eins zwei hoch null]
ist eine Musikgruppe, die sich seit mehreren Jahren mit der kollektiven freien Improvisation und verschiedenen Musikstilen der sog. 'Weltmusik' beschäftigt. Dafür arbeitet das Ensemble auch mit Künstlern anderer Disziplinen, wie Tanz, Malerei, Videoinstallationen, Filmvertonung, u.a. zusammen.
Die drei Musiker/-innen von 1 2 ° stammen aus drei verschiedenen Kulturkreisen und haben sich in Deutschland durch das Studium an den Musikhochschulen in Dresden und Leipzig kennengelernt. Sie spielen seit 2009 ununterbrochen zusammen. Die Früchte dieser Arbeit sind die beiden CD Alben: „Jing Peng“ (2011) und „Invisible Message“ (2012).
Neben den regelmässigen Konzerten, gehören Musik-Reisen ins Ausland (Frankreich, Spanien, Italien und Taiwan) sowie Workshops in freier Improvisation für Musiker und Musikinteressierte ebenfalls zum Tätigkeitsbereich von 1 2 °.

1 2 ° [Eins Zwei Hoch Null] is an ensemble which has been playing freely improvised as well as composed music together for several years inspired by various traditional styles from around the world. The ensemble regularly collaborates with artists from other fields such as Dance, painting, video, film and other for live performances and concerts.
The three musicians of 1 2 ° met during their music studies in Leipzig and Dresden. With each of them originating from a different country around the World (Germany, Taiwan, Colombia) they bring together a colorful mixture of influences which inspires their music. They have been performing continuously since 2009, recording also the CD albums „Jing Peng“ (2011) and „Invisible Message“ (2012).
Besides concerts in Germany 1 2 ° already played in other European countries, like France, Spain and Italy as well as Taiwan. At home and on tour they teach workshops on free improvisation for professional and lay musicians of any age.
